Kandein - Quick Movie Review

Rating - 5.9 /10
Verdict - Time pass entertainer....at times boring....Santhanam the saviour...
The movie has nothing new storywise..boy meet girls...and he acts blind to impress her ...she comes to know...somehow he convinces her...and when you feel everything is over a small twist the hero goes temporarily blind...and what happens next??...at last as usual.........Santhanam could have been better....the songs are good...but bgm could have been improved...the movie could have been made more interesting..if the screenplay is worked upon....Overall Shantanoo does a better attempt than the two previous failures.......Watch it for time pass......

VERDICT - STORY IS THE KING...QUALITY ENTERTAINER...WITH SOME REALISTIC PERFORMANCE.........GO FOR THIS ONE..........
There is no hero or heroine in this beautiful movie about a village and its people..there lives..beleifs..etc..We have all the elements in this movie but the treatment is different...There is good amount of comedy sprinkled throughout the movie...the bgm is good but the songs could have been better or they could have done away with..so overall this is a very good attempt with a lot of good performance from all the actors...from the small boy who knows everything that happens in the village 'Prabhu' to the horse...all have done well..the camera work is better and also the editing department and the movie runtime is less than 2 hours which also proves to be an advantage...SO IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A TASTE OF VILLAGE THIS SUMMER GO FOR THIS ONE!

"PONNIYIN SELVAN" DROPPED AND NOW MANI PLANS A MASALA FLICK!
Now that it has been almost confirmed that Mani Ratnam has dropped his magnum opus project based on Kalki’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, we hear that the director would start a fresh film, that too at the earliest.
“This one would be a contemporary entertainer with mass elements, quite on the lines of the ace filmmaker’s earlier ventures Agni Natchathiram, Nayagan and Thalapathi,” say sources in the know.
A popular actor will play the lead role, they say and add: “As in the past, Mani Ratnam may not make an official announcement on this project too till he completes considerable part of the shoot.”
“Will the protagonist be Vijay, who has been roped in by Mani for Ponniyin Selvan?” To this question, the sources say: “Though there is a possibility for it, the director has to take the final call.”

VAANAM - QUICK MOVIE REVIEW
MOVIE - VAANAM
CAST -STR,BHARAT,PRAKASH RAJ,SARANYA,ANUSHKA,SANTHANAM,VTV GANESH,VEGA,SONIA AGARWAL...
DIRECTION- KRISH
PRODUCER- VTV ENTERTAINTMENT AND MAGIC BOX

VERDICT- A GOOD ATTEMPT WITH INTERESTING PLOT....BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL IN CERTAIN WAYS..BUT THE FIRST HALF THE TELUGU ORIGINAL IS FAR BETTER

The movie basically consists of five stories of entirely different persons meeting at a common point annd all these stories have common climax..the first that of a Rockstar Bharat..the next that of a poor debt ridden widow Saranya...a good muslim in search of his brother Prakash Raj..a commercial sex worker Anuskha..and a local cable tv operator STR..One of the biggest minus point of the movie is retaining the telugu scenes of Anuskha..which give dubbe version feel..these portions also could have been reshot..STR is not able to match Allu Arjun in the first half ...but he scores in the second half,,"evandi unna peeta" and title song are good..The climax scenes are better in this one...
Watch this one...a must watch for all....

VERDICT - A BREEZY ENTERTAINER BUT LACKS SUBSTANCE.....A ONE TIME WATCH.....
REVIEW-
The movie begins with the title song..Prabhu Deva dancing for it in the scenic loctions of France and introducing the characters...'Jayam' Ravi as Kamal and Hansika as Kayalveli ....play their part well....Hansika is better than her Mapillai act..but the lip sync is still a cause of concern....The movie lacks a good sreenplay....even though its just a simple love story as the title suggests ...but ,we are not able to feel the love of the protagonists as they lack chemistry...and their characterisation is weak...Raju Sundaram has done a good job though at times he is irritating...the camera work,art direction,choreography of the songs are too good..One of the major plus point is run time of the movie which is 2 hours 5 minutes...Prabhu Deva could have done a better work on the script and placing of the songs...
Overall the movie is an average fair..but it has failed to fulfil the high expectations...........
